How much does a mobile notary visit cost?
Texas law caps the notarial act itself at $10 per signature in person ($25 for Remote Online Notarization). The travel and convenience fee varies by distance and urgency — most local mobile visits total roughly $45–$85 all-inclusive. We quote a guaranteed fixed single price before booking.
Can a notary come to me the same day?
Yes! We dispatch commissioned notaries 7 days a week from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Requests placed before mid-afternoon can typically be fulfilled same-day within 1 to 3 hours.
What identification do I need to present?
A current, unexpired government-issued photo ID is required — such as a state Driver's License, State ID Card, US Passport, or US Military ID. If a signer lacks ID, two credible witnesses with valid ID who know the signer can be used under state law.
Should I pre-sign my document before the notary arrives?
No! Most legal notarial certificates require that the signature be witnessed live by the notary public. Leave the signature line blank until the notary arrives and verifies your identity.
Is Remote Online Notarization (RON) legally binding?
Yes. Remote Online Notarization is authorized under state law and recognized nationwide. It uses encrypted live audio-video calls, digital identity proofing, and tamper-evident e-seals.
